i fell in love
on mars, it was
a long trip
there, very hard,
but we made
it through
the van allen belt,
some meteor
showers and bad
food all
shaped like
animal crackers.
the turkey tasted
like turkey.
the carrot cracker
like carrots.
the beauty of science
never more evidence
than in our diet.
but as i said.
i fell in love
on mars. in fact
all six of us
male astronauts
did. there was
only one woman on
the trip.
