steps

i am quietly
but surely
taking steps
in the right
direction,
disregard the
stumble, the
occasional slip
and fall.
but with
each step,
i have learned
something
about where
i have been,
where i might
be going, but
it would be
nice to have
someone to
go along
with me
to hold the
map, the light,
and lend a
sweet kiss
or hand along
the way.
