and they tell

you.

they go on and on.

you listen,

switch the phone

to the other ear,

you fold clothes,

you iron,

you do the dishes.

you get things done.

you add in a word or

two,

but for the most part

they do the talking,

an hour later,

you're saying goodbye,

take care,

without ever mentioning

a word

about you.
