in the midst
of it.
but this too shall pass.
the seas
will calm,
the sky will no longer
be darkened
by the guns
of war.
the blood will be washed
away.
bodies buried.
nothing learned,
nothing gained.
it's just the world doing
what its always done
from the first day.
