white and fat
in his back yard,
a city yard
with a clothes line
a dog
house
and a chain link fence
is laying
eggs.
he shows me the eggs.
he offers me
the eggs.
i tell him just a few.
he puts them
in a box with tissue paper,
this makes
him happy.
the rooster too.
