the one star movie

it's a bad movie,
I've never found anything
the manson family funny,

but it got great reviews,
and the big stars are in it,
so we go.

what is there to lose,
but time,
and money.

the chairs are big and comfy.
reserved seating.

a wine bar.
hot food.

almost like at home but
at home we can change the channel
if the movie
stinks.

here, we're locked in, too
crowded to get up
and go.

so we see it through
and when it's over we shake
our heads and say,

what the hell was that about.
