the eternal question

it's the age old
question,
the one men have
been discussing
for eons.
the one
Aristotle
and Plato sat around
in their long
robes
and debated.
Gandhi and Buddha
gave it as shot
as well, tossing
around the ying
and the yang, making
their lists
of goods and bads.
measuring one
against the other.
even St. Peter
and St. Paul
when they weren't
handing out
fish and bread
to the multitudes,
or pouring wine
that was once water,
they too asked
the eternal question,
Ginger
or Maryanne?
