a fat robin
rattles
against the window
taking
his time,
bogarting the bird
feeder, while
smaller birds
flutter about,
arguing
and complaining
about how
there won't be
any left for
them. but the big
bird pays
them no mind
and eats
and eats and eats,
his feelings
unhurt by the names
they call him.
