the golden age

everyone
has a golden
age.
some when they hit
ten
or eleven
for others, high school
was the pinnacle
of success
and glory.
college, or the new
job
is the top of the
hill for many,
or marriage,
or when the kids
are born.
or an age is reached.
the ones
that haven't found
it yet, that have
not arrived
are the ones
most interesting,
they still have hope
that something
is about
to happen.
