life

the blue
curve of
water being
the waist
of the world,
in a slow
soft turn
above the sun,
below a moon,
tilted,
and spinning,
this way
and that in
a balance
that keeps
it all together.
and the sparkle
of tinsel
stars, them
too, a reason
to be, and it
makes you wonder,
perhaps
that we might
have purpose.
