the nurse

she was an
unregistered nurse
who liked to
walk around in white
shoes and a white
dress, carrying
a little black
bag with a cross
on it. she was
crazy as they come,
but a lot of fun
when i was feeling
blue and needed
some of her
bedside manner.
i heard that she
was arrested a few
years ago for
writing bad checks
and stealing
money out of other
people's accounts,
i always wondered
why my bank
statement seemed
a little low
after she'd pay
me a visit for
a checkup.
