hunger

it's late
and i've only
had a salad
for dinner when
what i wanted
was a turkey
sandwich with
gravy, cranberries
on the side,
stuffing nearby.
all of it warmed
up on a hot
plate. a
decision based
on vanity, not
hunger. once
again settling
for less
when what i want
is more.
