i need plyers
to twist and turn things
open.
water bottles
nearly break my wrist.
gin bottles.
even the tooth paste tube
has an extra lid
on it.
as a kid i remember
turning on the
faucet and drinking
from the hose,
once the bugs and heat
washed out.

on milk cartons? How infuriating is that??
How I long for the old days
when the worst that could happen
is that you would fold back the carton
from the wrong side
