it's hard
to tell at times.
is he bored with us?
tired of
petition prayer.
rote prayer.
pleading prayer.
does He shake his head
and stroke his
beard in wry
amusement.
wondering why we
still care,
keeping faith,
accepting what comes,
before returning
to dust.
