unclogging the drain

as i pour about 

two gallons

of toxic drain

unclogger

down the sink

and listen to it gurgle

and chew up

god knows what.

i think of you.

and when it's finally

clear, and the water

runs free.

i smile

and turn the light off, 

then walk away.
