my friend asks me if i'm
going
to the protest march today.
I ask him,
what's this one about?
he looks at his schedule.
well, we have one at ten a.m.
for human
rights,
another at eleven for abused
animals,
then one at noon, for books
the we want
banned. there's a lot of words
out there that go against
our liking.
I tell him, maybe.
I have to work,
but if I can break away for a little
while after lunch,
I might be able to do the
animal one. what should I wear.
black, all white, zebra stripes?
something casual he says,
easy to run in.
okay, I tell him, by the way,
are you bringing bricks and
torches? or just signs
this time?
