in a perfect
world,
the moment
the phrase,
'it is what it is'
is spoken a
giant red
tomato soft
from being
two weeks off
the vine and
turning rotten
would fall from
the sky, and
land squarely
on top
of the speaking
person's head,
but only
in a perfect
world.

Interesting. Are you upset by their waste of words or their apathy?
upset by the banality of the statement that has become such a strange cliche and yet has no real meaning. upset is too strong of a word, perhaps amused would be more like it.
bemused, as opposed to amused.
que sera sera, c'est la vie, it is.... wait, looking up... no, no overripe tomatoes falling from the sky... as i suspected, an imperfect world
