the day in bed
with books
and coffee
the dog and cat,
the tv remote nearby.
the radio
playing
softly.
i don't answer the door
or the phone.
i've made
my peace with the world.
no work,
no stress, no boss
or wife
to bother me.
it's a world i've never
known.
