where they went,
what they ate,
what the weather was like.
then they take out
their phone to show you
the photos.
this was monday, tuesday.
etc. this is the ship we were on.
there's a pool, an ocean,
a mountain.
and then all the meals,
breakfast, lunch and dinner.
they are tanned, but tired
when they return,
but seemingly happy
having left out the poison
ivy, the upset stomach from
an Indian dish, the hangover,
sea sickness,
and the lost luggage,
not to mention that
it was an awful flight.
