our parents, daughters
finding fathers,
sons
finding mothers?
are we stuck in that wheel
of family.
replacing,
filling the void,
redoing what was done
to us,
then passing it on to
our children.
can we be different,
can we break free of who
they want us to be,
or is the die cast,
the deal settled?
