clarity

it rings and rings
then goes to voice mail.
how can I ever get my point
across
when she never picks up.
cell or land line,
it doesn't matter.
she's allergic
to the phone, can't bring
it to her ear
to even listen to a word
I have to say.
but maybe, just maybe
that's the message
she wants to tell me.
now it seems so clear.
