not amused

in the street
some are crying,
with heads
bowed, sititng
on the curb,
sobbing,
while others
are running
with smiles,
gleefully
throwing
their arms
into the air
shouting
victory.
the homeless
and the jobless
are not amused
nor encouraged
by either.
