the dance

with music playing,
she liked to take
her clothes off,
pull the blinds up
and toss open the curtains.
she'd turn all the lights on,
then fix a glass of wine
and dance across the room.
beyond the courtyard
the windows full of
lights in the building
that had her in view
would go dark,
their binoculars would
clink against the glass
as she danced and
danced crazily amused.
