all excited about
the blood red moon.
how wonderful
and rare it was.
orange and red
like a mixed drink
needing a spoon.
but you are more
excited about
the lemon meringue
sun. how warm
it's going to
be when the wind
stops blowing,
and the hail
stops pelting
your head.
