for better or worse

when he was

young

i ran across room and swiped

at his bottom

as he began

to push a screwdriver

into a socket.

he cried.

i held him

and told him what

not to do.

the danger of his

actions.

it was easier then.

but now it's his choice

what he does

with his life.

for better or worse,

it's hard but it's he

that must choose.
