not a dandy

when out and about
you see
that most men your age
and older,
some younger
are wearing the same
clothes.
at some point, without
discussion
we found a uniform
to wear.
it's what we wore
when in our teens.
khaki shorts,
a long sleeved t shirt,
tennis shoes
and a hat.
I look around the room,
and there's
twenty of me.
we've run out of ideas
for fashion,
not a dandy in the room.
