a transistor, I suspect,
is beat.
paint splattered, the
antenna bent.
the wobble of the dials
can't find
the station
i want to hear.
forget about AM, you
might as well be on the moon
for that.
it's
battery powered, with
a plug
in option. twenty bucks
or so
at radio shack.
how many drops
off a roof has it survived,
stepped on,
spilled upon,
kicked accidentally
across a room,
but it still has a heart
beat.
four triple double
A's will
keep it going through
the winter, the bent
plug
can be straightened
out,
if there is a socket to
stick it into.
