columbus day

you've got nothing
for columbus
day. no special meal,
for what would that
be? no tree, no decorations,
no songs to sing,
no cards to send.
what's the point.
land ho. big whoop,
as they like to say.
they being those who
say such things. but
the bank is closed,
and the schools
are closed, and the
government is closed
too, although how
would you know. but
i do like the less
traffic. thank you for
