nothing

i'm in search
of an immortal line,
something i can
etch in stone
and put on a
monument. a perfect
string of words
that people will
quote and memorize,
carry it with them
until the day
they die. something
smart and forever,
that will change
lives, alter the
course of human
events. save souls.
but it's been
a long day,
and i'm sitting here
eating a klondike
bar and i got nothing.
