you've heard it

again. the characters
change.
the location and
seasons
may be different.
but everything else
repeats
and repeats itself.
a familiar pattern
with similar results
on how love ends.
you know it before
the first word
is spoken, but you
sit and listen
anyway, hoping for
something new.
