we forget
that the bear can eat us.
the shark
can take a leg,
an arm,
we kiss the lion,
rub cheeks
with dolphins.
we have no idea
what's in
their mind.
like people,
they never show their
true colors
until
angered or hungry,
had enough of us,
and tired.
