called Get it White,
the store
on the corner, the brick building
with the windows and doors
caddy corner to the intersection,
a four way light.
then it was a Chinese
restaurant.
Woo Hung. they delivered
all hours
of the night.
after that it was a coffee
shop,
gourmet beans,
with home made
pastries, cakes,
Belgian waffles and buns.
then it was empty
for a long time.
a hollow dark room
with broken windows,
a cave for
pigeons,
mice,
young lovers, or wayward
bums.
today a new sign has been posted.
