sometimes you miss how she used
to yell at you,
the crumbs on your shirt.
the dirty bathroom, with
the seat up,
the laundry on the floor.
she said, what's that smell,
nearly every day.
or you are the epitome
of laziness. I've never
known a man with such a lack
of ambition than you.
those were the good days,
the days of wine
and stuffy noses.
blow your nose, she'd say,
offering you
a box of Kleenex.
where's the cork screw.
I need a drink. oh, how
you miss her and wonder
what she's up to.
