the heat

a strange heat
has overtaken us,
mostly me and you,
and it has nothing
to do with the
weather, or sun
spots or global
warming. and it
makes us remove
our clothes beneath
the fan, within
the arctic igloo
of this room.
why go outside
and melt when we
can build our own
fire right here.
