A man takes his work seriously
as he attends to the task
of making money. He believes
it is the right thing to do. To feed
his family, to keep thing going.
And what about love, she says
as he comes home from work
with the dust of the day
settled in his hair, the ache
of tomorrow already in his shoulders.
What about love? But he doesn't
answer, instead he unfolds
his calloused hands, bruised and cut,
to show her what he thinks love is.

J'aime ce poème beaucoup parce qu'il parle de vos mains et votre travail.
