riding the metro

is on fire, the orange
line cars
have gone off the rail.
one train is trapped in a tunnel
of toxic fumes
and smoke.
they need to rename the trains
in the metro
system
to black,
skull and crossbones,
grey,
and doomed.
pray before boarding.
but they look nice going by,
the riders
holding onto
straps for dear life.
