need to be tied.
the laundry
folded, the dishes
put away.
bills paid.
calls to be returned.
there are floors
that need
sweeping, beds made.
necessary things to
be done,
to keep
the ship afloat
and sailing onward,
or is it drifting,
into each
new day,
each rising sun.
