the wall
a house, a building.
your windows are shuttered.
the doors
of steel locked tight.
there is no way in,
no way out.
only the smoke from
the chimney of your
mind lets me know you
might still be alive,
the grey swirl
of your burn disappearing
into the rain bent sky.
