black socks

new socks
were not
on my list,
but i got
them just
the same,
black,
both dress
and casual.
i am
very fond
of black
socks,
and obviously
it's well
known
throughout
the world,
otherwise
why would i
get so many
each christmas
morning.
and i would
be remiss
if i failed
to mention
the plaid,
red and green,
dishtowels
that were
also,
not on
my list,
but now
adorn my
kitchen in
holiday wonder.
