the wallpaper
is green. it's for a baby's room.
some stripes,
some flowers.
a matisse sort
of thing.
eight sheets
across.
I paste and smooth,
I place the level upon
the edge
making the bubble just
right.
I cut, then sponge.
soon
the job is done.
the check is made
and i'm home to write
about it.
