just because she sends
me a photo
of the apple pie she made
in her brick oven
doesn't necessarily mean
that she wants
to be more than friends.
apple pie is not a metaphor
in any sense of the words.
or is it.
and in questioning if there will
be a scoop
of vanilla ice cream
going with that hot slice
of pie
would that
be asking for trouble?
