not every wish
upon a falling star
is granted.
not every prayer
no matter how sincere
or heartfelt
is answered.
not every coin dropped
into a fountain,
or rainbow
at the end provides
the pot of gold
or furnished dream.
it doesn't work like
that, but it's
nice to think so.
