not guilty

I'm not judging you
she says,
in her black robe,
and high shoes,
banging a gavel
against the kitchen
table. but your
behavior and attitude
lately leaves
something to be
desired. I have no
choice but to sentence
you to a life
without me.
how do you plead?
she says sternly,
rising from her chair.
not guilty your
honor you say.
not guilty, by reason
of insanity.
which is the reason
I am here with you
to begin with.
