a moon
swims by
and takes you
with it.
grabbing
your heart.
it's more
white than silver.
more full
of romance
than any novel
or poem could
ever hope to hold.
the moon
is all you need
in a lover
or friend.
its shine is
enormous.
it waters your eyes.
fills your
lungs with
its soft milky light.
the moon is
everything.
at least for now,
for this one
summer night.
