deer hunt

the woods are full
of deer
so you know the signs
are going up soon
to warn the walkers
and joggers,
the bikers that
a hunt will be
in progress,
throughout the month
of june
and maybe into
September, depending
on how many
deer there are
to kill, keeping
them off the road
and off the hood of
your car.
the world is getting
smaller, the herds
are thinning.
