food infusion

what are you doing
in the kitchen
she says from
the couch as she
separates her
toes with cotton
before painting

a strawberry
red. i'm infusing
salt and pepper
into the scrambled
eggs. do some
cheese infusion
too, she says.
sharp cheddar
