the big dog,
brushed blonde,
floppy eared and soft.
heavy
and happy
with weepy brown
eyes,
a tail
not yet done
wagging despite
the years.
more love, more
affection.
more petting
she seems to plead.
throw the ball,
go ahead, i'll get
it for you.
it might take
awhile, but
be patient, i only
want to please
and know that
you love me.
