failure to communicate

so many ways
to say
hey. the string
and tin
cans tied
together.
smoke signals.
the phone,
the text,
the mail,
the shout
across the fence,
semaphore,
the telegraph,
or morse code,
just tap tap
tap and say hey.
a letter
an e mail.
or tweet
and twitter,
so many ways
to get your point
across,
so why throw
a rock through
my window
with a  note
attached?
