i have no
coins for the meter.
that metal
pole with it's
blinking red face,
expired.
it says dimes
and quarters only
monday through
friday, and saturday
too. and it's
wednesday.
but i'm out of
the correct change
and have
only cup full
of pennies, and
a handful of
jefferson nickels
that are of no
use. but i have
tape, lots of tape,
so i tape
all of this change
to the meter with
a note that says,
take it all,
and i'll be right
back. sorry but
i hope that
this will do.
