motion

there is a madness
in the world
that makes one
think and believe
that motion is
meaning. that
purchasing, and
chasing, and
being somewhere,
someplace, or on
our way there
will somehow fill
that void, that
space that only
fits one thing.
and yet, we all
fall victim to
this constant
hurried state.
without our phones,
without our friends,
without that drink
in our hand, without
our schedules
packed to the brim
we are little, if
not nothing in this
world. it is so
much about
tomorrow, not now,
not in the silence,
the quiet of now.

So true, so neutrally observed, that puts it all -the importance of awareness of the present moment and the abundance in having so little-the silence. Beautiful, flowing, touching-the power of your words. Thank you! Alona
